Quality and Integrity
Dave stresses that "the foundation is the thing." It probably comes as no surprise to hear that the best paint jobs result from the best preparation. To Dave and his team, however, properly preparing a surface is the biggest single step, and they take the most care at that stage. Once the spackling, sanding and priming are done to Dave's high standards, he uses high quality paint to achieve the best possible finish. He waxes poetic about the color and finish of a particular type of paint that he's fond of: "It has a beautiful, deep and rich finish, and it's as water resistant and washable as semi-gloss or eggshell finish, even though it's a matte!"

Dave has five employees, two of whom have been working with Dave Casteel Quality Custom Painting for 15 years (the other for about five years). Each of them is well trained and vetted by Dave. "They each have the authority to make decisions, because they are smart and articulate guys, and they know what we do at DCQC Painting," said Dave. This means fewer hang-ups on the road to completion.

Dave Casteel Quality Custom Painting is pleased to report that an increasing portion of their painting is being done with environmentally-friendly products. They use low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paint, which is significantly better for you than most house paint. This is particularly useful for those of us that live in our homes, and want to breathe the air that is inside our home, even if the walls have been recently painted. For most interiors, Dave Casteel uses "Aura" (a Benjamin Moore product) and "Pro-Green 200" (a Sherwin Williams product) paint, both of which are low-VOC. Aura is the paint Dave described so eloquently as "deep, rich and matte."

However you envision your home looking after a paint job, if you want it done cleanly, professionally and by one of the best and nicest guys around; call Dave. Dave Casteel Quality Custom Painting is ready for whatever you've got in mind.
